Janne as spent more than 40 years riding and 20 years teaching and training horses. Her background includes one recalcitrant pony, a slew of thoroughbreds, warmbloods, Fjords, Friesians, Andalusians and other breeds. A lifetime of horsemanship translates to a methodical teaching and training approach for horses and their riders. Janne applies a kind and logical routine that encourages trust, relaxation and confidence for both horses and riders. It's important to Janne that her students feel confident competing and riding independently. She fosters forward, free-moving horses.

Continuing education is important. Janne is working to complete the USDF "L" Judge's program and has cliniced with Canadian Olympic rider Leslie Reid, Spanish Olympic rider Juan Matute, Henrick Johanssen, Charlotte Bredahl-Baker, Beth Glosten and, most recently, Kim Keenan. She has also worked with natural horsemanship clinicians Jon Ensign, Leslie Desmond and Steve Rother, all of whom have brought their own unique perspectives to the handling of young horses and stallions.
